Type 1110 Adjustable Resistance Units are available in a wide range of total resistance values. The slider can be loosened, moved and re-tightened without losisng contact with resistance wire. They are constructed in such a way that should the slider become broken, the total resistance of the winding is in the circuit. The bare nichrome wire used in our 21 and 42 turn units is wound in grooves in the porcelain and will not move under pressure of the slider when adjustments are made.
Our resistance units are rated at a maximum of 15 watts. Each unit comes with two wood screws for mounting.
